Portland Burger Week: Top 5

Bet you can’t eat just one!

102 eateries participated in the Portland Mercury Burger Week. As much as we wanted, we couldn’t eat over one hundred burgers in just one week. So we chose seven based on the photos in the line up but ended up only trying five. Big’s Chicken’s Country Fried Burger, Grand Fir Brewing’s Western Bacon FirBurger, Migration Brewing & Papa’s Frita’s Chilero Duro, Von Ebert Brewing Glendoveer + Kitchen’s Beer Cheese Philly Smash, Wonderboy’s Smokestack’s The Sloppy Papí.

All were very enjoyable. Some were served just like the photos posted. But some… not so much. Check out our photos of real VS Ad. Our favorite burger of the bunch was Migration Brewing’s. The Chilero Duro had and superb smash patty and significant yet not overpowering flavor. We’d love to see this handheld added permanently to Migration’s menu. We look forward to trying next year’s contenders.✌🏻
