We did a price comparison for breakfast in VanPort. Omelettes, pancakes, French toast, etc can very considerably from place to place. To keep it fair, we stuck to the classic American breakfast: Bacon and eggs. Bacon can vary but eggs are pretty much eggs. We also factored in the price of coffee because just about everyone will have a cup with breakfast. That’s a significant variable. We found a cup of Joe ranges from $2.50 – $4.75! We excluded daily specials, restaurants that aren’t open Monday through Friday and trucks/carts/fast food. Not that those are not worthy. But to keep this fair we only considered brick-and-mortar eateries that are open by at least 8am all week. The results were surprising. The cost of breakfast is from $13.25 to a whopping $26.78. Where does your favorite breakfast joint rank?
