Great Working Lunch Spots in Van/Port
Places that are not loud and are large enough to not be problem for an extended working lunch meeting with a few people and has Wi-Fi. Listed in no particular order.
1. Feast@316
Vancouver – Camas
Lunch 11:30am-5pm Mondays – Saturdays
Feast has a reputation of being a great steakhouse for dinner but they offer a fab lunch menu with moderately priced salads, sandwiches and burgers.
PRO TIP: Feast has the best fish & chips in VanPort. INSIDER: Beer is not on the menu but they a half dozen on tap and a few in bottles. Street parking is luck of the draw.
2. The Cove
Vancouver – South
Off the beaten path, good food, decent drinks and a large space. In fact, there’s an upstairs private room if you have a larger meeting. But it’s not cheap.
3. Nostra Tavola
Vancouver – Central
Fantastic Italian eatery that serves pasta, pizza, steak, salads and more. They have a decent selection of cocktails and wine. My wife likes the penne and Italian sausage pasta.
The pizza is good…but there’s other pizzas I prefer. Happy hour is 2-5 Sunday-Thursday. PRO TIP: The portions are not huge, but not small. If you’re really hungry, you might want to split a third entre.
Their lunch menu has a few great sandwiches that aren’t available on the dinner menu.
Nostra Tavola is a solid choice for a working lunch. They’re never crowded at that time, have an adequate amount of space and decent Wi-Fi. Ample parking in a free lot. INSIDER TIP: Nostra Travola has the same owners as Nuestra Mesa.
4. Gustav’s
Vancouver – East
It checks all the boxes and happy hour starts at 2pm. Just in case you want to celebrate a really excellent meeting.
5. Wyld Pines Bar & Restaurant
Vancouver – East
Ok. The it has a funky vibe complete with a bigfoot. But the restaurant is a good size so that you can find a spot in the back and work for a while without being a bother. And their food is good.
6. Cecilia
Vancouver – South
Technically they don’t have a lunch menu but they serve breakfast until 2pm. Happy hour is from 2-5 and is fantastic. Cecilia has a savvy vibe with upscale food. Your coworkers will respect your choice.
7. Twigs Bistro
Vancouver – Waterfront
Nice range of delicious offerings. Pizza is decent. The tacos are really good if you like their PNW slant. Yummy pasta. Cool vibe. Decent drinks but not craft cocktails. Only one sweet vermouth. Unfortunately, it’s Martini & Rossi. No amaro’s or Chartreuse. PRO TIP: Some of the best salads I’ve had. The Crème brûlée is superb. Checks all the boxes, not to spendy and a great view.
8. Radio Room
Portland – Central
Radio Room has a mid 20th century vibe and is in a vintage gas station. We love the joint. The decor has a Pulp Fiction feel that we both resonate with. The wife is a big fan of the fried brussels and the chicken pesto pasta. The chicken sandwich is decent. The tomato soup is perfect. Sunday’s they have live jazz. They’re open 9 until late 7 days a week. Bunch until 3pm. Happy hour 3-6 Mon-Sat and 3-close Sunday. INSIDER INSIGHT: Radio Room is a sister restaurant to Keys Lounge.
9. Laurelhurst Market
Portland – Central
Mostly known as a fine dinner restaurant, Lauralhurst serves moderately priced salads and sandwiches at lunch 11am-3pm. There’s plenty of room at that time. Elevated vibe with quality food at close to Red Robin prices is a great value.
10. Olympia Provisions
Portland – Central
One of the better eateries for finger food. They’re famous for their charcuterie boards but they also serve soups, salads and sandwiches at lunch time. Fantastic bread and cocktails too. INSIDER INSIGHT: A good place for a working lunch if your Wi-Fi needs are basic. Olympic Provisions doesn’t have their own Wi-Fi but the building does. Street parking is luck of the draw but I seem to always find a spot.
