Biscuits & gravy is a hearty American breakfast comfort food. It’s a dish that appears simple but it has to be done right. It boggles the mind why some eateries mess it up trying to be fancy. You want fresh, pillowy biscuits and savory gravy made from sausage. It’s a bazillion calories so make sure it’s worth it by dining at these restaurants for the best biscuits & gravy.

1. Pine State Biscuits

It’s in the name

Pine State Biscuits has five locations. If biscuits is in your name you better have great ones. They go the extra mile with their presentation. Kick it up a notch and get it with an egg on top.

2. Matt and Mandy’s Family Diner

Vancouver – Woodland
Passionate

Including a Woodland restaurant in a VanPort list will raise some eyebrows but it’s impressive how adamant some people are about Matt and Mandy’s biscuits and gravy. It must be good for people to drive that far. No website.

3. Natalia’s

Vancouver – Camas
Camas Favorite

The biscuits are fluffy and the gravy has a slightly different taste but locals are loyal to Natalia’s biscuits & gravy.

4. Joe Brown’s Cafe

Vancouver – Downtown
Heavy Rotation

Biscuits & gravy is the most popular item mentioned in Joe Brown’s Google Maps reviews. It’s a Vancouver favorite. No website.

5. Bleu Door Bakery

Vancouver – Downtown
Fantastique

Bleu Door does many things well. Biscuits and gravy are one of them. Being they’re a bakery you know the biscuits are fresh.

6. Gravy

Gravy is only open until 2pm. They have to nail the morning meal favorites to succeed and their biscuits & gravy area winner.

7. Cameo Cafe

Vancouver- Central

Dependable neighborhood eatery on a golf course. Outside seating on the patio is pleasant when weather permits. The wait staff are old school and friendly. Breakfast is always available and it’s a nice place for brunch. Biscuits and gravy are on heavy rotation. Unfortunately their website is a hacked trainwreck.

8. The Plainsman

A restaurant that’s only open for breakfast and brunch better be good at staples like biscuits & gravy. The Plainsman has a very loyal following. They bake their own bread. Their gravy is slightly bland but it does have some chunks of sausage. No website.

9. Black Bear Diner

Chain

Just because Black Bear is a chain you shouldn’t hold that against them. They serve excellent comfort food including biscuits & gravy. The sausage is pretty fab too.
