A bartender I know who is familiar with my palate recommended this watering hole in Portland. The joint has a pleasing, funky vibe with mood lighting. The bar is well stocked and capable of producing some craft cocktails. The menu features a few original recipes that strive to be clever, along with margaritas, old-school classics, mocktails, flights, and Freezer Shots. The canned music is slightly edgy, and you get the impression the volume ramps up after dark.

We ordered an All Eyes on Me Margarita (Mijenta Blanco Tequila, Cointreau, lime, Grand Marnier float, served with a sidecar of Mijenta Blanco). I went off-menu and ordered a Red Hook (Rittenhouse Rye, Punt e Mes vermouth, and Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur).

They don’t print receipts. Holy Ghost didn’t quite live up to the recommendation as a destination for my tastes, but it’s still a very good neighborhood bar.Street parking is catch as catch can.
